Manndate FX Design Exchange CO-OP

The Manndate Group is pleased to announce our Design Exchange CO-OP.

 

What does this mean?  We’ve opened up our website (and on the Calgary floor) to give you access to sell your excellent quality “seconds / mistakes / Extras” to other Design Trade, to their clients and also to the general public*. 

 

Q - How does this work?

 

• You must be a registered member of The Manndate Group.
• Send us an email with a picture of the item, a detailed description (who is the manufacturers, how old is the item, is it new, is it refurbished)

 

Q – Who puts price on item?

• Designer with our guidance! 
• We need to have market value
• Items are registered in the Manndate showroom and a contract is signed.

(We let you know if we feel it is of the quality to sell through Manndate @ that price.)

Fees Structure:

Of Purchase price > 65% to you, 35% to Manndate

 

Admin Fee due at product registration time: 

• Accessory $10
• Small Item $30
• Large Item $50

 

Q – How long is contract valid for?  90 days. 

 

• Prices are set for 30 days.
• Markdown of product (10%) happens after 30 days.  Designer (the seller) has the option to accept the markdown price or remove the product.

 

Q - What if my product doesn’t sell or if I want to remove it?   

• you may remove it – Administration fees are not refundable.

 

Q - Who is the primary market for Manndate FX?

 

• Staging Designers and junior designers are the primary market for buyers. 
• End clients are welcome if brought in with a Designer.

Q – What If Designers want to “TRADE” products with each other?

·        Manndate is still entitled to the 35% of asking fee for the use of the service and space.

 

 

Website Exposure – will begin in March 2010 > announcing to general public in Spring 2010.

 

*Beginning Spring 2010 Manndate will open doors for two days monthly during prime seasons, by invitation to the public to view items

 

Once a month, the doors of Manndate showroom will open to the public for a two-day (Wed/Thursday afternoon / evening  2 week days open in the evening) “Design Exchange CO-OP Sale to the public”.  PUBLIC will be required to register for this event.  This will be advertised locally.  The Designers within the CO-OP are responsible to work a portion each of this shift.

 

** Calgary Floor – The customer (you the seller and you the buyer) are responsible for the pickup and delivery and placement of the product on the floor

 

*** all items will be registered and marked with client #, asking price, date, markdown price  , etc.

 

****payment of sale – will be made available the following month (to allow for processing time) in the form of a cheque to the seller from Manndate.
