January 2010 Review
Obviously Manndate (TMG) attended the Furniture Show last week – didn’t you?
For those who missed the opportunity, here’s our quick overview.
It was a good show, with a definite updated look from previous years. All “looks” from contemporary – traditional were covered.
Manndate & entourage toured to see all the new ideas. You may or may not know that our wholesale accounts give our members better margins/better prices. Hope you’re on board for this!
What Manndate lines did we view?
Valco (which is now owned by Villeageous) has an updated line of bedroom furniture, great for children’s bedrooms and guest rooms and…..they’re Canadian Made – solid wood! Price-point: Low-Med
Bellini was offering an interesting line of Contemporary. Zuo Modern – great residential/contract contemporary
Nuevo Living beautiful Contemporary line – a pleasure to show
SunPan nice offering – great starting point line
Camlen Canadiana – Country – why not look at this lovely Canadian Company!

West Bros viewed their new collections – always a pleasure.
High End Mattress Beds we now carry, if you require $75,000 beds for your clients’ desires.
Keyton The ultimate recliner/ massage chair, one that looks lovely, not like King Kong – It’s now available to try in Canada (we’ve been sitting on them for years at High Point) – approved by the European Chiropractic Association & The Manndate team all agree - We love this chair!
Hellenic Rugs Now all Canadian run – nice new lineup
Feizy Rugs were displayed in Minster Showroom
Buhler – this line has changed! Nice entertainment units, curios (if you are in the market). Entertainment with built in Dimplex fireplaces. Their cabinets/furniture are all Canadian made using solid wood. Great price point (low-med)
Dimplex – great new electric fireplaces/BBQs for the Patio
Dinec – showed a large offering and their bedding line was nicely presented with Wildcat Linens
Vanguard – announces Thom Filicia on Fine Living Network

New Products - New Ideas - New Business

This was our first visit to the show and had the benefit of being introduced on a personal level by Manndate (TMG). Manndate as you know – know their business; they escorted my team and a number of other Interior Designers around the show giving us the “low down” on what new products to look for, discussed the trends for 2010 and introduced us to some key people in the business.
I am a Real Estate Agent and also have a Designer on staff that runs a Home2Home service; we are staging client’s homes on a weekly basis and setting up new show homes – as everyone knows there are not enough hours in the day to thoroughly research the interiors market so partnering with TMG has certainly proved an invaluable route for my organization.
TMG has a direct line to a majority of the manufacturers and distributors at TCHFM and by using their services; we get the deal best possible with minimum of fuss. What more could I want in a “Matchmaking” relationship.
