October 2008                     Adding Pizazz to your Winter Season!

Dear <FNAME>,

Although I never really 'left', this email confirms that I'm 'baaaaack!'

Will is now 10+ months old and is excited about the coming holiday season (as you can see from his photo above!)

I'm enjoying being back in the office and thinking about how to help grow your businesses. Given the challenges in our financial markets, and uncertainty in consumer demand, this is a very important time to be making smart decisions for how to spend your time and money!

Although I continue to offer logo'd clothing and gifts, my expertise in database marketing, events and overall marketing strategy are the areas I focus on during these market downturns.

Customer and Employee Gifts

With the current economic turmoil, most companies will be running down their inventories of promo items and cutting back on 'optional' sales and marketing expenses. The cycle is understandable - after 12 years in business, I'm prepared!

If you are one of the lucky few who can take this opportunity to nurture the people who have helped you so far (and will hopefully help you recover!), your investments now will pay out in the months ahead. To get you thinking about what's possible, I've put together a short list of suggested items that deliver great value and will help re-energize employee morale and customer interest:

* BPA-free tumblers & water bottles
* eco-friendly everything - USB memory sticks, bags, notebooks, flashlights, clothing and pens
* brushed aluminum sculptures - made in Ontario!
* laptop carry cases
* ... and more! Please call for ideas that are right for your business and target audience!

Graphics & Special Events

This summer we continued our work on Slava Ultra Premium Vodka and the other tasty beverages from Ukraine - "Freezer Friendly" bar freezers will soon be found in select martini bars in the GTA and in liquor stores in Alberta...

Katherine debuted the Slava freezer at the Toronto Ukrainian Festival in September. Multiculture Bevco had a busy booth where we also handed out tattoos, coasters and posters and sold beer steins, caps and T-shirts. People also had a chance to enter a draw for a trip to Ukraine and a tour of the historic Lvivske brewery. The Ukiestore booth had a record year of sales and handed out coupons for $10 off any purchase over $100 up until December 15th. Feel free to shop online or by phone and you'll be eligible for the special offer as well!  www.ukiestore.com

Social Networking and Online Opportunities

I took some time this year to explore the 'new' marketing avenues including "social networks" like facebook and video sharing sites like YouTube.  Especially valuable for reaching consumers and promoting events.

I'm wrapping up my work at "SceneCaster" but will continue to be a fan of their 3D Web community which allows me to explore my creative side. Since launching in September 2007, SceneCaster has now reached approx 2 million users! To make it truly accessible and 'viral', SceneCaster can be used within facebook - simply add it as an application or look for my facebook profile (LeeStJ) and I can invite you.

I also took way too much video with our camcorder (most of which is of Will and is NOT on line!). However, I uploaded a video of the Ukrainian festival parade to YouTube and will be doing more video editing and sharing for client marketing in the coming year.

 Giving to those in need of our support
As an alternative to buying gifts for the 'adults' this year, my family is opting to make  donations to children's charities - Plan Canada, Unicef, and World Vision all have great 'gift' programs where you can buy mosquito nets, immunizations, school supplies, etc. for children in need around the world. Right here at home you could also consider your local Children's Aid Foundation, Covenant House, or Salvation Army - it is at times like these that our donations make the most difference.

Best wishes for a safe and enjoyable holiday season and a prosperous and healthy 2009!

Thank you for your business!
